Kasemrad International Hospital Vientiane held a grand celebration to mark the hospital’s official achievement of Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation on 12 November 2025 at the Conference Hall of Kasemrad International Hospital Vientiane, located in Vientiane Capital, Lao PDR.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of His Excellency Dr. Phayvanh Keopraseuth, Vice Minister of Health, Lao PDR, who presided over the event. Distinguished attendees included Prof. Dr. Chalerm Harnphanich, M.D., Chief Executive Officer of Bangkok Chain Hospital Public Company Limited (BCH); Asst. Prof. Dr. Somporn Harnphanich, M.D., Chairman of the Board of Directors and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of BCH; representatives from embassies, international organizations, senior government and private-sector executives from both Laos and Thailand, VIP clients, insurance partners, corporate clients, and many other honored guests.

The event commenced with congratulatory remarks by

Professor Emeritus Dr. Chalerm Harnphanich, Chief Executive Officer of BCH, who praised the dedication and tireless efforts of the hospital’s management team and staff in elevating service quality to meet JCI standards—an important international benchmark for healthcare organizations worldwide. He also highlighted the strong growth of the Kasemrad Hospital Network in Thailand, which currently operates more than 15 hospitals, and announced the upcoming launch of five new hospitals in the near future:

1. Kasemrad Rayong Hospital – 270 beds

2. Kasemrad Suvarnabhumi Hospital – 270 beds

3. World Medical Center Pattaya – 200 beds

4. Kasemrad Ayutthaya Hospital – 150 beds

5. Kasemrad Chiang Saen Hospital, Chiang Rai – 30 beds

This expansion reflects BCH’s commitment to elevating Thailand’s healthcare standards and meeting the increasing demand for high-quality medical services across the country and the ASEAN region.

Following this, congratulatory remarks were delivered by

His Excellency Dr. Phayvanh Keopraseuth, Vice Minister of Health, Lao PDR, who emphasized the importance of advancing healthcare quality to meet international standards. He commended Kasemrad International Hospital Vientiane for its role in strengthening the Lao healthcare system and for serving as a leading model of quality medical services in the country.

A key highlight of the event was the official presentation of the prestigious “Gold Seal of Approval®”, symbolizing world-class excellence in patient safety and healthcare quality under the JCI 8th Edition standards.

Dr. Wattana Parisri, Director of Kasemrad International Hospital Vientiane, added:

He proudly announced that Kasemrad International Hospital Vientiane is the first hospital in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to receive international accreditation from the Joint Commission International (JCI).

The event also featured a group photo session with executives and multidisciplinary teams, the presentation of certificates of recognition to outstanding departments involved in the JCI preparation process, and various appreciation activities to honor all staff members who contributed to this remarkable achievement.
